Hello,

I am shooting with Nikon Z7. I use Note 20 Ultra and it would be a great monitor. I tried Nikon's SnapBridge, but it can only be connected using wife and the video is lagging. Aside from connecting Atomos Ninja or similar monitor to Nikon Z7, is there a way to connect a phone to act as a monitor using cables?

Hope I am wrong on this, but I believe that generally a monitor is going to need to be connected by an HDMI or SDI cable to avoid lag.

There is just so much data being transferred.

Again, hopefully I am wrong and someone else knows of a way.

They do make some small 5-inch 4K HDMI monitors that are decent for under $200 or so

Agreed, it's too much data wirelessly.

Phones have video out, not video in.

There are some apps, but they aren't great. It would have to be via USB and an app and that wouldn't be very fast or clear. Low frame rate and low resolution over an OTG cable, but it's doable. And it might break with a firmware update. I looked at this years ago and eventually decided on a 7" monitor.

If I were starting over, I'd get this monitor and add the handle and follow focus as needed.

They're very similar. The one you linked can accept LUTs, which is great if you use them.

The battery adapter on the one in the video I linked is a game changer.
