Just bought it (mark 1 version) and just waiting delivery of a lens. Googled it and nothing came up how to check firmware in the camera with no lens. Tried everything, no luck. Any help appreciated.

Canon turns on and off menu items depending on the mode you are in.

1. Make sure you have the ring around the shutter button set to the regular camera mode and not Auto+.

2. Power the camera on and use info button to change to either Manual AV TV or Program modes.

3. Use the menu to go the last wrench menu to see firmware

can you find it in the 3 (settings, yellow) tab 5 ?

I checked all settings carefully under the menu. Found nothing.

Back to the NX1/NX500. Nothing else can touch them for what they offer...6 years on.

The manual is also available on Canon’s website. Worth a read.
