I am very tempted to get the 35mm f1.8 but only if they do a special price on it, I can get it from any European amazon like amazon Germany, but do you have any idea when Nikon will do sales in Europe?

Last week I asked Nikon Switzerland about cashback sales this summer. They say nothing is planned for the near future. I asked because I plan to buy a Z6 kit.

Kind regards, Tony

Thanks for the info

It's weird they don't do offers, if they want to reboost the sales after this nearly dead corona period they must do offers.

Well I will wait for a refurbished 35mm f1.8 at B&H, they cost 700$ instead of 850$ and knowing b&h they won't sell a refurbished lens if it's not 100% working and fault free

I am about to buy a Z6 but Nikon UK have no stock of the kit with with 24-70 and FTZand would guess stock may be low on a lot of items so probably not much incentive to offer any deals until this changes.

I think the offers from the end of 2019 will show up again. They sold the Nikon Z6 with the FTZ adapter and the 24-70mm f4 lens for 2000€ at the end of 2019. Now it is 2350€. I think they will sell it for 2000€ again, or even cheaper.

I have been tempted to buy a Nikon Z6, but I think the price is too high right now. Maybe if they cut the price 500€/500$, I will make a purchase.

Normally camera prices will fall steadily over some years.

Sales are of course nice, but you shouldn't rely on them, the companies need to make some extra profit. Imagine that Nikon or distributors now announce they are going bankrupt because they were making too many sales or they have to cut wages/fire people. This would definitely be a bad image of their management.

That is true! At the moment the Z6 kit with 24-70 lens and ftz adapter some retailers sell for around 2000 euros. Which I think is a good price for what you get.

Last year summer sale started on May 25th in The Netherlands. In Germany one week earlier. At this moment nothing to see on the big retail sites. Nikon Z 35mm F/1.8 at Amazon DE is now 759 euro, was 649 around Black Friday.
