Hey all,

I'm looking at getting one of my photos printed on acrylic and was curious as to which photo lab people prefer for their acrylic prints? Im interested in getting a fairly large triptych, something in the neighborhood of 36"x74", so it will be a very expensive print.

I use Bay Photo for most of my printing needs but the quality of the sample 4x6 acrylic I recently got them would have been appalling had it been on a $1000 order.

I appreciate your input!

Do consider the shipping cost & overall weight of something so large (depending on acrylic thickness).
Thanks, but shipping cost is what it is, and I'm aware that a large acrylic print will be heavy.

Any experience with acrylic print services offered by different labs?

I have no experience on this but from what I read and understand I would choose the Diasec process:

I have plenty of experience with this - and i have been exceptionally satisfied with Bumblejax in Seattle. I had better results, product quality, price and customer experience than some much bigger Pro Labs in San Francisco, Chicago or New-York.

Prints of that size will be shipped crated.

Given them a try on a smaller print, you will be pleasantly surprised. Go for 1/4" acrylic thickness and diamond polished edges!
