The Sigma 600mm Mirror lens bears more in common with a telescope than a modern camera lens. However, this design allows for super telephoto reach in a light, compact, and affordable lens. Easily found for about $100 used, this odd lens is a cheap and fun way to add a long lens to your kit. It is especially effective when paired with a full frame mirrorless camera with IBIS like the Nikon Z6. I found that image quality is not great by modern standards, and out of focus areas often look pretty bad, but I think for someone just starting out with a mirrorless camera this lens has a lot to offer.

I plan on publishing a more detailed written review at some point.

I know this thread is a couple years old, but I'd be interested in test images from this lens.

I just bought one on the auction site when the seller lowered the price to $85 (included shipping).

I had been looking at getting either this one or the Pentax mirror 400-600mm. A the 600mm focal length, since the Sigma is basically a prime lens, the images I have seen have the Sigma with slightly sharper images than the Pentax - and 3x or more cheaper!
