That is fantastic news. The 32-64 is perhaps the finest zoom lens ever manufactured by anyone. That means the new GF zoom lens is utterly spectacular, and I love superlative labels on lenses that get to the heart of the matter.

So this is the best zoom lens ever made in history? I will get it even if it is just top-5.

Excuse me, but you have put words in my mouth. I didn't say the new lens is better, I explained that it won in specific regions of its capture. I also linked to the article which shows the aspect which it excelled at in those regions: image detail.
