The pro 100 is on sale for boxing day in Canada and debating it. OEM cart kit is like $160, about what a precision color kit would cost me if not more after exchange rates and shipping. How many refills does there 32oz kit fill.

Thanks and happy merry whatever

32oz = waaay more than you're going to need unless you plan on doing *A LOT* of printing.

I think the PRO100 carts are around 15mL and there are 30mL in a fluid oz. So, you get 64 (-ish) complete refills. Then figure that your average 8.5x11 uses around 1.2mL total ink (Red River has more accurate ink consumption data per printer model but 1.2 is a pretty safe #. Some inks you'll use much more (the greys) of than others (yellow)

Since 32 oz. is 947ml, and Canon CLI-42 cartridges for the Pro-100 contain 13ml of ink, if you manage to avoid any waste / spillage, then 32 oz. of ink gives you enough to refill 72 cartridges.

One thing to mention though is that the 32 oz figure that they are quoting there is for 4oz per bottle x 8 bottles = 32 oz in total ink across all colors (8).

72/8 = 9 full refills for the whole ink set. That is going to last you a long time ... unless you going to print like crazy.

That being said, I personally haven't switched but thinking about it. One thing that holds me back is inconclusive information as far as longegativity of those inks. For the price I don't expect inks to last 100 years like Canons but I don't want them to fade away after few months.
