I want to buy a laptop but not sure which chipset will be better for Photoshop. I am wondering if any of you could give some suggestion here.

Thanks,

Meh. The i7-10510U is rated only 9481 Passmark. You can get better performance out of a 9th generation H chip, such as ... any of them.

Is the i7-10510U really low power or something? Yes, TDP is 10W down 25W up. I found several laptops with this chip inside, but none had info about battery life.

What laptop has the Ryzen 7-3700U inside?

It is in Lenovo Flex 14". It has AMD Ryzen7-3700u, 12 gb Ram, 512gd sad. Someone told me than Ryzen7 is better than Intel i7 for Photoshop. Is it right?

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 comes in both Intel and (semi-custom) AMD versions, and reading its reviews should give you a fairly good comparison.

I'd be at least as concerned with getting all the other laptop features that I wanted as with a particular CPU, like the most suitable display, keyboard, trackpad, etc. Deficiences in the user interface hardware can be very annoying over time.

Thinkpad T95.

If speed is important, Intel. If price, then AMD.
Yes, it looks like Intel is still slightly ahead of AMD on mobile processors.

Not on deskside processors however, especially Ryzen 9.

P.S. for jh82: I no longer run Photoshop and don't follow its performance needs.

This is a good comparison of the Desktop CPU's by a custom computer manufacturer that specialises in PC's for creative uses (photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc)

There is an Intel i7 that comes close - however an important factor is of course price - the 3rd Generation Ryzen chips have been way cheaper than the Intel chips they're competing against,
e.g. in UK

Ryzen 3rd Gen 3700X ~ £290

Intel i7 9700K ~ £330 [After a recent price drop from ~ £400]

Intel i9 9900k ~ £445
