What more could you want - it's light, compact, sharp wide open, and has extremely fast focus and useful VR. I have tried to convince myself to sell it a few times when in need of cash but I just can't do it. It's too good of a piece of glass to part with. Some of my favorite pictures have come from it, and it's the most likely lens to be in use at any given time.

Its a real sleeper in the Nikon stable. In the end I opted for the 70-200 FL which is incredibly sharp and I like the extra speed in lower light situations. But I was very impressed with the overall rendering of the 70-200 F4. It makes great images wide open. If I was forced to downsize, this would be my top choice over some of the other 2.8 alternatives.
