Today, I received my new lens hood for the X100F. It is made out of aluminium and precisely manufactured. Comes from a Swedish company: https://squarehood.se/

I've got the LHX100 that comes with the standard ARX100 adapter ring for weather sealing on the X100V. I'm sure the Fuji lens hood will block the flash just like the other models even though it does look a bit thinner, and now I'm tempted to get the Squarehood.I placed an order for the x100v and the Squarehood.
Perhaps there are downsides to this decision, but the round hoods on my X100 and X100s are easily removed and a standard lens cap can be used, but one of the killer features of the X100 is the combined goodness of a leaf shutter and on camera fill flash and this is not an option with other hoods. So, putting up with an awkward lens cover it is. I will probably loose it in short order.
Here is the silver but I prefer black even on the silver x100v.That looks handy, but only available in black?

Not pricey at all considering your paying 1399 for a point and shoot.lolLooks like a nice addition to the X100. Stylish but pricey!

It is of course a matter of perspective but Aluminum is a very cheap material and easy to manufacture. Not pricey at all considering your paying 1399 for a point and shoot.lolLooks like a nice addition to the X100. Stylish but pricey!

I was looking at the SquareHood as well but you get up there near $100 after it's all said and done, that's a lot for a lens hood even though it looks great. The AR-X100 adapter ring has a bayonet mount, so the SquareHood cannot be mounted on it. To mount the SquareHood and attach a filter for weather protection, it looks like you need to buy the SquareHood extension ring along with the SquareHood Mk II kit.

I did the same and I’m now wondering the same thing. If all else fails I have the Fuji hood with the adapter and I could just take it off when using flash.I purchased the Fuji adapter so I could attach a filter but which hoods have the bayonet ring that work with the Fuji adaptor?

I think I may bite the bullet and buy the SquareHood, best-looking hood for the V and it doesn't look like you don't have to remove it for the flash and you can still use a filter - but that $90+ for a hood is a difficult pill to swallow. Decisions decisions...I did the same and I’m now wondering the same thing. If all else fails I have the Fuji hood with the adapter and I could just take it off when using flash.I purchased the Fuji adapter so I could attach a filter but which hoods have the bayonet ring that work with the Fuji adaptor?
I reached out to the Squarehood team and they said their extension ring plus filter and hood would be as weather sealed as the official Fuji combination.
