Does anyone know or use an app that allows you to upload photos to Instagram from your Windows computer?

Gramblr was a popular app but no longer works.

Thanks kindly.

Use the Win10 Instagram app if you have a touch enabled device?

Or, even better, use a browser with an extension that fakes the user-agent. I use Firefox with "User-Agent Switcher" add-on, which allows me to fake a smartphone, and so allows you to upload images.

Dont bother to download anything.

Use chrome in developer mode and choose smartphone, go to m.instagram.com and see the magic happen!

Can you please explain how to do it exactly on Windows.

Thanks

I tried the Chrome suggestion but it lacks one important feature Gramblr had. Chrome appears to only allow uploads in the 1x1 format (and possibly 4x3) while Gramblr allowed 5x7, 8x10, 8x12, etc. It seems Chrome adheres strictly to the 1x1 and possibly 4x3 formats which really destroy some of my photos when they are cropped to those formats.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Pad them to 1x1 with white letterbox borders using a photo editor.

Thanks very much. This LR plugin sounds like what I exactly need. However it currently is not working according to their website and is being investigated....

Despite the notice on their website it works fine for me on Win 10.

And I used the plugin successfully just last evening, after posting my response. There was a time a few months ago when the plugin "broke" due to a change in the Instagram API. Soon after, an updated plugin was released and it has worked fine ever since. The developer is active and responsive to issues that arise.

I downloaded and installed the plugin. And LR/Instagram is listed in Published services. However when I run the setup I enter my Instagram username and password. Bit I get an error login incorrect despite entering my correct login credentials.

I verified they were correct by logging into Instagram via a browser.

The Chrome option does not work at all now. I've tried this option in the past and used the iPad option. It worked but would only upload in 1x1. Now it does not work at all.

Yes I did. I installed it from the Microsoft store. It does not have an upload function. Only good for viewing.

Supposedly you can upload pictures etc. if you have a touch screen W10.

You would think they'd mention this in the Requirements section, but they don't.

I email it to myself than upload from my phone. i honestly cant believe Instagram desktop app doesn't allow for this.
