Canon ixus 175 has sharp focus only in short time at start

Why canon ixus 175 has sharp focus only in short time (about 9-15 secs) after being turned on (at start).

Then it can hardly get sharp focus.. please help me out

I'm not sure I understand. Digital cameras usually will "go to sleep" after some period of inactivity to conserve battery life. But if you half push the shutter button (and sometimes any button - not sure how the ixus 175 is set up), it should wake up. If you're saying that the camera simply stops focusing no matter what after 10 seconds - that doesn't sound good. Is the battery fully charged? I'd turn the camera off - charge the battery - and see if that helps. If not, I'm out of ideas.
