Beautiful scenery! Thanks for sharing.

I'd like to ask, when I play the video on my 2011 iMac in HD, I see stuttering in the panning scenes. It's not terrible, but it's noticeably stuttering. Not 100% fluid. What causes this stuttering? Is it my old iMac not being able to keep up during playback, the camera settings or video editing? I have no video editing experience.

I don't mean this as a criticism, I just want to learn what causes this non-fluid behaviour. I see this in other you tube videos particularly in panning scenes.

Sometimes I wonder if it's my old iMac that needs a more modern GPU but I don't think so as I'm not playing it in 4K. Is it maybe youtube downgrading on the fly from 4K to HD that makes it stutter.

When the panning is to quick, you can see "stutters". Especially in the sky in the first church scene, you can see this effect. I could go slower on the pan, or using higher frame rates in my timeline. (eg.30 or 60 fps) that would let me pan quicker. But I don't mind in this case. I like shooting in 60 fps and use a 24 fps timeline, so i can slow down and speed up my clips in post.

Cinematographers actually calculate how quick you can pan without getting this "problem" (Eg. RED has this calculator: https://www.red.com/panning-speed)

Looks a great bit of kit. Well done.
Thank you Makingtrax :-D
You’re welcome. What rough price is that rig you used, in dollars?

Thanks in advance.
FeiyuTech AK4500 = 674,- (Including rear handle and follow focus)

X-T3= 1500,-

16mm f1,4= 1000,-

Vari ND= 300,-

So roughly 3500 us dollars :)
Thanks for that, I’ve got all the other stuff, just the FeiyuTech sorry. $674 isn’t too bad for weddings and landscape stuff.

I used to live in rural Sweden and my family would travel to Norway for this or that event or family trip. You’ve perfectly captured it. Such a lovely country.

Amazing work, what a lovely country to live!

How do you like the lens in terms of AF in video? Is it fast and consistent enough?

Did you have any issue about AF, like wobbling etc?

thanks in advance.

Thanks HSHN :)

I think this lens autofocus performs good for video. It's relatively silent, and the autofocus is better/more consistent than the 14mm 2.8 and 23mm f1,4. (That are more noisy and slower to focus)
