I’m about to buy one of these cameras but I can’t decide what to buy. I will be using it for interior design and home styling photography with the Nikon 16-35mm F4 lens. The D800 has more resolution which is really nice but the D750 is newer and I’m not sure but has better IQ and wireless abilities... the D800 is a little bit cheaper on eBay. What would you do?
Hi Yuha,
I think I saw you earlier wondering which camera to go for. One thing I would say is that both cameras are very capable devices and I doubt you would regret buying either of them. If you are anything like me, you probably find the options almost annoying because it forces you to make a choice when you cannot have perfect information on your options. So, just to repeat, I don't think you would regret buying either a D750 or a D800.
Anyhow, I bought a D800 a year and a half ago and I find 36mpx gives great cropping possibilities..
Here is an image I took earlier today.

Not a very special image, just a snap shot.
D800 36mpx images take a lot of cropping. Below is a 100% crop from the above.

I normally wouldn't crop to 100% but you can see that the details hold up well.
So, I am very happy with my D800.
But, I don't know what other posters will think, here is an idea in favour of the D750. The D750 is currently on sale new, which means there are going to be plenty of spare parts should a D750 need repair.
I asked Nikon UK about spares for my D800 when I bought it and they reassured me that spares would be available for many years, but a D750 being currently on sale new, there are going to be fewer worries on that front going forward.
