Snapbridge and android, never works or never ever works?

Bluetooth connects just fine, but Bluetooth does nothing. When it tries to wifi connect, it never works. Works just fine with my iPad.
Working just fine for me. Both with Samsung and iPhone.

Works reliably for me using wifi with a Pixel 2 android phone.

Doesn't work well for me either. Samsung Galaxy. It's hit/miss. Not happy with it.

I've tried it to several Android phones. With Bluetooth you have to make sure you mark each photo for sending or set the camera to autosend. It won't work if you don't do this.

It works for me with IOS. However, the picture names are changed. My Z7 would call the photo _DSC0123, for example. But SnapBridge changes the name AND file number. The same pic may be renamed to IMG_0234.

Since the file is reduced to a web friendly size, I understand why the name changes. However I find it very confusing that the picture number changes. Is there any way to change this? I would like SnapBridge to rename images so DSC0123 becomes IMG_0123.

Works as expected here on my Samsung...

Just my 2 cents: Maybe un-install the app you have now on your Android, then download and re-install a fresh one and re-start the connection to your Z from scratch...

Maybe...

On the same line, go into your blue tooth connections and unpair any existing connection with Z6/Z7. This will force new pairing when you reinstall.

Tried Bluetooth (galaxy s7)once and it worked perfect. Seconds after i took a picture it transfered.

I dont like how the battery drained with Bluetooth, makes it worthless at events.

Can you be more specific on what you mean by "Bluetooth does nothing?"

Btw, the camera supports pairing with multiple smartphones but it can only be configured to operate with a single smartphone at a time, and you have to tell it which smartphone it should attempt communication with. In other words, it wont automatically start communicating with the first smartphone it finds that it has a pairing relationship with.

I was shooting an event and I lost my thumb drive that I used to tx pics to my phone for IG posts. So I tried to use SnapBridge.

The bt works connects and all, but you can't do anything over BT. So I click "download pictures" or whatever the button is. Then my phone connects to the wifi. I can see that in the settings, but the app never picks up that it's connected with the wifi. I try many times, turning things on/off.

BT supports transferring 2MP images to your smart device in two ways - automatic send and manually selected/sending. Both methods require the app's "Auto link" and "Auto download" to be turned on. To use the automatic send feature you must set Setup -> Connect to smart device -> Select to send (Bluetooth) -> Auto selected to send to ON. That will cause the camera to automatically select each image as you take them, and any selected image will then be automatically sent to the Snapbridge app over Bluetooth.

In the scenario you described it sounds like you didn't have Snapbridge paired at the time you took the photos. This means the photos you took would not have been automatically selected to send and thus would not be sent to Snapbridge even after you paired to your Android device. You can manually selected those photos in either image review mode (by pressing the "i" button and then "Select to send/deselect (smart device) or in Connect to smart device -> Select to send (Bluetooth) -> Manually select to send.

Never worked for me. I have a Honor 8 (Huawei). I hear that BT pairing problems are common with Huawei
