By some 'mystery' a GF 45mm arrived ! I was happy with a 32-64 for my landscapes but it was either this or a X100F .....

Anyway on my way to work I stopped off and took a few images of an English country hedgerow and gate. Nothing spectacular but this was the first time I've looked at images from the 50r and thought they have a film like medium format look to them.

All taken at f2.8. I did notice some blue / purple fringing that I wasn't expecting which quickly disappeared in Lightroom. Just now I have tried to recreate the fringing at home but can't so am not too concerned.

Back to the images ... I think the last one is my favourite.

Nice picture, the last is definitely the best. Yes, there is some 3D pop as often seen with MF and the excellent GF lenses. I enjoy the GF45 as well and especially for 2.8 and less weight

When you view 'original size' it really starts to pop nicely, especially #3

Looks like you managed to snag one of the special 45mm lenses ;-)

Gates and fences can be good 3D subjects as you get a nice plane of focus with the bars of the fence/gate - maybe get closer in to the gate wide open as you have been using

Fuji Reala 100 converted to mono in post

Your time is limited, so don't waste it arguing about camera features - go out and capture memories - Oh, and size does matter - shoot MF

Great job! Love that 45. Nice to have on the 50 on long walks. The detail and pop is something you will immensely enjoy if you view on a large pro 4k monitor.

Keep shooting. Keep posting. I love seeing people's images that they take with MF. Not every shot has to be a masterpiece. If that was the rule, I would be in trouble. 😁

I like your Fuji name. Surely we must have met sometime in the past on the Fuji Board, right?

I'll make another date with the gates and see what I can create ..... I had previous called in on a foggy morning before I got the gfx-50r. However the x-e3 and 18-55 I had to hand doesn't bear too much pixel peeping.

The gates in image 3 is on the other side of the same lane only a few yards away.
