Hi!

I was wondering whether A9 is delivering usable, sharp images in APS-C mode (10.66MP). Can it be useful for BIF with this lower resolution? Does any of you use it?

I personally think you get more usable images in Full Frame mode 24.2 MP than you do with APS-C mode. I try to get closer to birds when they take off and worse comes to worse you can always crop in post. Whereas if you're in APS-C mode then you are basically stuck in what you shot. So to answer I try to avoid being APS-C mode and have gotten angry with myself when I have accidentally put myself in it. Just my opinion.

Thank’s! But is the image still sharp @ AS-C?
Why wouldn't it be? Shooting in APSC produces exactly the same result as cropping in post.

I accidentally switched to it few times.

I prefer to crop it myself and leave it as an option unless I am using a aps lens.

10 years ago, people say 12mp is plenty enough so..........
