Now if you hadn't clipped the top of your head I would rate this response image as the best portrait. :-)
Thanks. I did it on purpose, cropping the top away in post. Looks definitely better cropped from my point of view. BTW it was pure vanity because I didn't like my hair standing off.. the bright part between the hair is distracting... and I wanted it in 16:9 ratio. This is it without cropping so much:

Great challenge subject, well managed and completed. Thank you for raising the stakes in what can be done.
Thank you so much!
Hints about how the all-photo poster was assembled may help others do the same. Was it hard work or some simple lazy way (for people like me) to get it done?
I did it in photoshop and it took at least three hours to do it, so not a simple lazy way. I only realized later that I should have made it using Indesign, which is far more productive for such jobs. But sometimes one simply forgets the easiest solution and does it the harder way ;-)

All the best for you too

Hello again Reto B,

I just wanted to say I didn't notice your head was cut off because the gesture with your hat was such a nice thing to do. I also liked "what counts is not what is on the head but what's in it.." We should all remember that when it comes to other people's appearance.

I don't know if you would be interested but I use a program called Posterino for calendars, posters, and other fun stuff to use with photos. Unfortunately it appears to be for a Mac only but you can check it out if you are interested.

The address is https://www.zykloid.com/posterino

I know you took a lot of time making the calendar because it was beautifully done.

Sincerely,

Mina

My fading memory tells me that I once used a PaintShop Pro feature for a simple poster when printing, juggling and fitting many images onto one page, but not as nice as the Reto version. (He must have too much free time :-) )

I’m sure you spent a lot of time on it and it came out great. I think the content is what makes people happy like me seeing my first selfie on a poster with all you fantastic photographers. I think if it has style and great content you’ve got a winner :-)

Sincerely,

Mina

Hi Mina

You're right. Appearance is temporary, always changing and really not important.

Concerning the software: I use PC's. But thanks anyway. As I said I should have used Indesign for this job. I worked with Indesign professionaly (layout, graphics etc.) for many years and am very productive with it. Would have taken me one hour or so. But I was so much into photos last sunday that I stuck to photoshop which is not the best for such a job.

Best wishes
Reto

Congrats to all, and especially Reto B for a great challenge idea!
