Hi,

I am about to buy Sigma 135mm f 1.8 Art to be used with Z7. I would like to know if other users have faced any issue with Sigma 135mm Art and Z7 combo.

Does the lens need any AF Tuning in camera OR tuning through USB dock?.

How tuning through USB dock differ from AF Tuning done in camera? Is USB dock is for addressing lens curvature issue?

Thanks

I have this combo. It's absolutely fantastic. Mine needed no fine tune adjustment. My new favorite lens. Good luck with it. cheers

Thanks :-)

Exactly! It works like a charm. Much more consistent AF wide open compared to my D3X/S or D800. If it is not to long, this combo behaves also much better at low light indoor sports.

Have a nice day!

With mirrorless cameras you should not need fine tuning (at least not in usual case). My Sigma ART lens that used to focus inconsistently on a D7100 now focuses perfectly on a Z6.

Thanks everyone.

I got the lens today evening. Tonight i tested both 135mm lens and and also Eye-AF on a toddler. They both worked well. I used it indoor. Light was moderate. At close distance AF struggled and then I changed the AF-range switch and that made AF snappy. I must add that lens is built like tank.
