The original batteries are very expensive, so that's a no go.

The only three branded third party NP-F batteries I can find is from Aputure (don't think it's the light manufacturer Aputure), Hedbox, Jupio and Hawk-Woods.

Anyone have any experience or info about them?

I planned getting them together with Godox P260C LED panel as it seems to be the best for the money one I can find. It can take two batteries (don't know if it actually needs to have two to work fully), what size should I get? F550 or F770? How long would they power it?

Bonus question: is there anything spesific I should look after if I get some cheap light stands? (50€ probably)

Use Anton Bauer batteries.

Get two DSTE NPF750s - they come with a charger for around $33. The charger works but it’s not great. Eventually you should upgrade to this:

Why I suggest DSTE is this video:

Several thoughts

I've got some batteries I bought from Amazon Canada. I paid no attention to the brands, and don't notice any differences from one to another.

But if I buy more, I'll get Neewer.

Get more than one charger.

The higher the number, the bigger (thicker) the battery, and the longer it lasts. some of my lights have an opening in the battery compartment to allow this thickness.

I've never measured how long they last. But I am going to buy a couple with higher numbers in the name.

I have two LEDGO panels which operate with two batteries, or plug into the wall.

The other day I photographed two lawyers using one of the lights plugged in and the other running on batteries. making it really easy to move around.

More: I've seen other positive references to DTSE, (as mentioned in another post in this thread) and now that I've seen the double charger, I'm going to buy one.

I'm going to watch the videos now.

Sadly can't find DSTE in my country, and Amazon for example does not ship them here. I am in Norway btw.

Hedbox and "Aputure" ones found might be a rebrand of the same thing for all I know. They are the same capacity for the different sizes. 4400mAh for 770 for example (Wh is also the same). If what it says on them is true, it's less capacity than the DSTE ones tho.

The hedbox dual charger looks the same as that neewer one, just Hedbox logo and some red. It's 55€ (tax/vat included) (together with two 770s). Maybe it's just rebrand of the same thing or made on the same factory?

Maybe they are all rebrands of the same suppliers product?

I am very much a hobbyist btw.

The hedbox 770 is for example rated at 32 Wh. Having two of them on a 30w panel as the panel I am looking at is, (Godox P260c) would on paper last 2 hours on batteries on full power. If the rated stuff is actually correct that is. I think that is more than enough. Hell, half that might be enough, what you you think?

Hello! Sorry to bring life to a very old thread, but which batteries did you end up getting? And what was your experience with them? I'm a fellow Norwegian on the hunt for some cheaper batteries.

I see some Nitecore NP-750 5200mAh can be found for 48 $ (400 NOK), while the Atomos Np-750 5200mAh is at 144 $ (1200 NOK). I'm even tempted to order through the german store Thomman, as even with the high tax imports and shipping (977 NOK for kit + 200 NOK for shipping + (294 NOK +149) for import tax), you'll get the whole Atomos Power Kit 2.0 for only 48 $ more than a single battery here in Norway.

Late reply, but ended up getting a "Ansmann" battery, but I cant really compare it to anything else, as its the only one I have,
