Will be interesting to see how this performs optically and AF wise. Hope similar sizae and weight to the fe 501.8

Could be similar. I'm guessing better, otherwise why would they bother? Their 35/2.8 is a runaway success.

I have the 35/2.8 and like it. If the 45/1.8 is as good, it might be my normal lens for lightweight on the go setups. The 55/1.8 is a little to long in focal length at times and the 28/2 is a little to wide and the 35/2.8 a little to slow. So the 45/1.8 might be perfect as the only lens in those cases for an evening out on town with some friends.

Here in Sweden we only get the Samyang brand but my understanding is that it is the same stuff, just different names?

Everyone thinks so. But I have noticed that the Rokinon version of lenses, which appear to be identical except for the engraving, come from different suppliers and are generally more expensive. So I wondered if, just possibly, they are the crem de la crem, skimmed off the top in the quality pool, so to speak.

I purchased the Rokinon version of the 35.
