..from my recent postings about experimenting with Sharpness & Contrast..

..the below picture is the result with settings that I'm happy with from my P1000..

Picture Control "Standard", Sharpening "+3" (default), Contrast "A", Saturation "0",

White Balance "AWB1", Noise Reduction "Normal", Active-D Lighting "Off".

..full size image, straight out of camera jpeg, not post processed..

..soon I'll need to spend some time with my B700 to try different settings.. ;-)

..looking forward to see how the settings works for you, I do have the Hoya HD3 UV filter on my P1000 to help reduce glares, so if things gets too bright, just dial the exposure compensation back a bit..

IMHO, the best way of shooting is to SHOOT A LOT in Auto Mode and PICK THE BEST on your desktop computer...

..yes, to many, using the "Auto" mode or even the "Bird Watching" mode is the way to go..

..because I like to be a bit more in control of the camera, therefore I prefer to use the Program, Shutter, Aperture modes..

..but one of these days, I'll give the Auto mode a try.. ;-)
