Hello,

Asking a quick question here.

Does anyone have the Peak Design 5L fitting a mounted a7r2 with either the 24-70gm or 16-35gm and fitting the other lens on the side?

Is this the 5L everyday sling? If so I very much doubt you'd fit both lenses and the body. I can just about fit an A7R with FE100mm GM fitted and a Sony Zeiss FE 55mm F/1.8 by the side. My camera has a RRS L bracket that makes it more bulky, but both your lenses are bigger than mine. Even if you could fit them I don't think the bag would zip closed.

I also have the Everyday Sling 10L and that would be much better for your purpose.

They are great bags.

Thanks.. Im trying to avoid the 10L because I think it's too big and dont want to break my shoulders/back

I tried the 5L with my a7r3, 16-35 Zeiss and 24-105 OSS lenses. Didn't work for me. Too small. I even found the 10L a tight fit. I returned both to PD. I ended up with the 13" Everyday Messenger which was a much more comfortable fit. Note, though, that if I am going to be out for more than an hour or so I usually switch to a backpack style bag.

I find that my A7Rii with a 24-105 and 16-35 fit fine in my PD 5L. Yes, they’re snug, but not uncomfortably so.

Yes, it works, at least with an A7III with a 16-35 GM (with lens hood) attached + the 24-70 GM (withouth lens hood) in the bag, see the pictures attached.

That bag is too small. The 10L I think is still a small bag but better for these larger lenses.

Take the bag dimensions and the lens dimensions and give yourself like 1 inch so the bag can close if not 2 inches so the zipper is not under strain is what i do.

The think tank retrospective 10 would be a better fit

Question..

First pic is the 16-35?

Can't the hood be reversed to save some space?

would I be able to keep the 16-35gm mounted (hood reversed) and would the 24-70 fit vertically?

So this is the 16-35mm F4.0 version?

Yes, the attached one is the 1635, the one below is the 2470. When the 1635 is attached it doesn't matter if the hood is reversed or not, it's enough space that way.

It doesn't fit if you put the 2470 vertically in there.

The 10L bag is surprisingly small. It is much smaller than I had anticipated. But it does fit a mirrorless camera and a few lenses and that is about it.

It snugly fits a A7III, 16-35 f/2.8 and a 70-200 f/4 and a handful of accessories.
