I am looking for a secondary tripod that is primarily just an elevated support for my gopro or other compact camera. Primary usage is for vlogging - so at 6ft tall, it would be nice to have a tripod that gets decently tall.
I think I am mostly interested in height+compactness, as I am not worried about microvibrations and any instability could at least be helped by hanging a weight or laying my bag/some rock/something against a tripod leg.
I already have a full size DSLR + nice carbon fiber tripod + ballhead, so this is almost looking at the opposite end of the spectrum. The cheapest seem to be those plastic-y ones with minimal metal pieces, but also don't really seem that light and also look quite bulky for what they are.
The mefoto backpacker looks interesting, but even that is a bit heaver than desired - although I'd also love to get just the legs along with a separate basic+light head (maybe not even a ballhead...
Any suggestions? I guess I don't want something that might "sway" in the wind, but I imagine any types of other vibrations would be taken care of by video stabilization, if they even translate into the video frame?
