I heard this camera referred to as a "hipster" camera some time after I purchased one. That's not a fair description, but, I ended up selling it before a year was up due to its sluggish autofocus. The lens was very fine. I thought I might enjoy the simplicity of using a fixed focal length lens. But there was the complicating factor of the digital interface that wasn't to my liking.

Hi. Have you considered that this is a camera released 8 years ago? Also, the first of its line? There has been an X100S, X100T, X100F and we're actually awaiting a new one to be released soon.

Of course the AF would be slow for today's standards.

From time to time, we will see posts praise this camera that started the x.

Out of your review, one thing I disagree is the score for portrait. I think it is very unfair and totally disagree.

Enough said.

Yes, I remember when some people referred the X100 as a hipster camera but DP Review has a different opinion of the X100F and has called it a "photographer's camera."

Fuji must have done a great job with the series because going from "hipster" to a "photographer's camera" seems like a pretty big leap. :-)

Apparently another review of an outdated camera... nothing to see here. The thread is locked.
