This panorama was done from 3 P1000 raw files processed and finally asembled with the panorama function of ON1 Photo RAW 2019 , better to fit the full height according to you screen and scan the paysage

Nice. :-) I'm a fan of panoramas. I've been using a free Microsoft program, Image Composite Editor (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/res...tography-applications/image-composite-editor/), for some time now. It works well for .jpg files but doesn't accommodate RAW (NRW) files. Before I got my B700 and then the P1000, no other cameras that I owned stored RAW files.

After getting these last two cameras, my solution has been to edit the individual RAW files using Nikon's Capture NX-D software, convert them to .jpg, and then use the MS ICE program to stitch together a panorama.

I hadn't considered that there was software that would handle RAW files from the git-go so thanks for your post. I'm off to have a look at the software your using.

FWIW, here's a sample from shots taken with the B700 using my current software/technique.

This is what I am doing but I export to TIF file just correcting the illumination and without Noise removal that I am doing as necessary wioth Topaz AI Clear ; With TIFF files we are supposed to get better capability to further correct colors .... and perhaps process panorama but if your jpg are very good probably few differences between jpg and tiff
convert them to .jpg, and then use the MS ICE program to stitch together a panorama.
Yes just starting to use ICE also Cannot say what differences with ON1 Raw , except the option for various projections

Nice job! I've only done panoramic shots with a couple of the cameras I have which do in-camera panorama via a panorama setting, so I've never tried to stitch together several shots like this. Looks like on yours everything went together quite nicely!

For those who "stitch" individual shots together to create panoramas, I stumbled on this under Tips in Alexander White's "Photographer's Guide to the Nikon Coolpix B700: Getting the Most from Nikon's Superzoom Camera . White Knight Press." The same Tip appears in his book for the P1000.

"Shoot larger panoramas. When you are shooting a horizontal panorama using the Easy Panorama setting as discussed in Chapter 3, you can increase its height using a simple technique. Select your setting, such as Normal, and then hold the camera vertically, as if you were shooting a tall building, but pan it horizontally. With this approach, the dimensions of the panorama will be 1536 pixels tall by 4800 pixels wide, instead of the normal dimensions of 920 by 4800."

Others have probably figured this out so I guess I'm a bit slow. Anyhow, the next time I have the opportunity, I'm going to try this approach when taking individual shots that will be used to create a panorama.

You can also generate panorama images from RAW files with Adobe Lightroom software. Lightroom will save a RAW DNG file of the completed panorama, so you can adjust the completed RAW panorama file.

I always shoot panoramas with my camera in the portrait position. My largest panorama was 4 rows of 9 images per row with a 200mm lens on a full frame camera. Computer spent a lot of time on this one.
