Which LUT to use for C-Log?

I spent a bit of time trying to figure that out too - they don't make it straightforward, do they?! My conclusion, anyway, was that there is no Canon LUT that fits the bill, though I could of course be wrong about that. I did find, however, that the C-Log LUT that is built in to FCPX was perfectly satisfactory. I'd suggest trying it out and seeing if it meets your needs.

Edit: When I was looking at this issue it was re the 5D4 though I suspect that the same analysis applies

Thank you for your reply.

That is true. The built in one looks quite nice. Do you know where Final Cut saves it? I want to be able to apply it with the custom LUT effect and not on the clip info panel.

Btw: I got some fine results with the: BT709_CanonLog-to-BT709_WideDR_65_FF_Ver.1.1.cube

Sorry, can't help you there.

Great! Many thanks for sharing this. I will try it out and compare.

Best wishes

For what it's worth, I like the BT2020_CanonLog-to-BT709_WideDR_17_FF_Ver.1.1.cube

I like saturated colors. It starts me closer to where I want to be in the end.
