Leica D-Lux 7 is very impressive!

As an owner of both the Type-109 and Leica Q, I must say that I am quite impressed by the D-Lux 7. Picture quality is remarkable and seems to benefit from the higher pixels over the Type-109, but I am not moving too quickly to sell my Type-109 as I have totally enjoyed it as well. While the D-Lux 7 is clearly not the Q, I am having to look at photos produced by the D-Lux 7 very closely to see drastic difference (and there are some) when deciding which camera to use for basic use. As a travel and street photographer there are many places where I get a bit nervous having the Q around my neck and the D-Lux 7 may afford me a higher quality image over the Type-109 in a similar form factor. Looks like I am keeping all three for now!

I had a Typ 109 for about 3 years and sold it....I miss it. Can you please expand a bit on what you are seeing with IQ between the original and the new model????

IME The D-Lux 7 is not the Q, but it does have an amazing clarity within its range that I love. I'm really happy with it. My 109 had been sidelined (more like forgotten about), but the DL7 will get regular use.
