New D500: Photos Blurry

Thanks for all of the feedback. Yes, Auto ISO did the trick!

I have taken tens of thousands of pictures with my D3400, many of which I am very proud of. Yes, I believe it has auto iso out of the box.

I'm just happy to be "back in business", but it does reinforce that I have a LOT of learning to do. Given my time constraints, and the way I like to take pictures (go for a 3-6 mile hike and capture as much wildlife as possible, oftentimes with very little time to compose or tweak), I have been attempting to just learn opportunistically. As things come up that I want to change, I try to learn, but the aperature priority setting on the D3400 (w/ auto iso) really spoiled me. It let me achieve my goals. I don't currently aspire to be a professional, although I assume everyone wants to get better. I just like to take these nature walks and capture a handful of decent shots that I can then go back and share to tell a story.

Anyway, I'm grateful for all the feedback that enabled me to get back on track. Nature photography is what keeps me sane. :)

I am happy for you!

Don't hesitate to ask more questions - if possible with photos that we can look at and analyse, this is what put us on the right track in this case. Out of camera jpg do contain the EXIF, I don't know if your processing software does but you are resourceful and managed to provide some of the information.

Now go out and enjoy yourself! :-)
