I am not into BIF at all but had some time this afternoon to have some fun with RX10iv. Dotsight is very easy to use but tricky to setup. But most shots are almost centred of fame. AF-C, Mid speed (10fps), SS1600 and AF set to 'wide'. Very fast and accurate AF. Didn't really missed at all. Wonderful but expensive camera. I can't wished for more...

All shot at maximum zoom! I wish the camera had more reach!!:-):-)

 Dotsight EE1 with RX10iv
Dotsight EE1 with RX10iv

Very easy to find target. All at max zoom..so, 600mm equivalent! Short bursts of 6-8 pics.

Having gone through some difficulties to find a method of securely attaching an Olympus EE-1 to my own RX10-IV, you can image that I'm more than a little miffed to find that Sony have decided to copy it with a suitable attachment built in! :-D

The Dotsight is Olympus manufactured. Fit is a little loose initially on RX10iv but I put 2 layers of sticky tape on plastic hotshoe lug of EE1 and now it fits snugs without problems. It doesn't move and I can still take in/out.

Aha! Then you need one of these...

You mount the EE-1 on the adapter and the adapter fits the Sony multi-shoe properly...

Like this...

The adapter is really cheap but the combination of EE-1 and adapter can be removed from and refitted to the camera without losing calibration.
