Although my wife's S100 is still chugging along with the dreaded (possible lens failure) serial number, it has been a good "take-it-everywhere" type camera, particularly when traveling. It also has been handy when a bigger camera would be out of place, such as in a dining situation. Also its size is less intimidating to many subjects.Curious if anyone still uses an S100 on a regular basis?
I use an S110 on a regular basis, in fact I shot a bunch of shots with it yesterday. The S110 is basically an S100 with the lens issues fixed plus a touchscreen. If yours has a good lens--see my comments at https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61779863--then I see no reason not to use and enjoy it, at least in preference to anything that does not shoot raw, does not have a zoom lens, and/or has a really slow zoom lens.Curious if anyone still uses an S100 on a regular basis?
The 1/1.7" sensor cameras are becoming a rather rare and precious commodity if anything. I have a S90 that I would be lucky to use once a year now since using the G7x/G5x. It is superior to the S7/7 plus Samsung/Apple phones we have in detail, noise and of course ability to zoom. It is very sluggish however and the files do need some work to look great that smartphone processing can do instantly.Curious if anyone still uses an S100 on a regular basis?
