When I left my home yesterday morning there was light fog and I wondered what I would find at Nickerson Beach. After I made the turn south to head toward the Long Island Beaches the fog started to thicken yet I could still see well as visibility was about a mile. When I went over the bridge to Long Beach Island visibility dropped and to about 1/4 mile. Walking on the trail to Nickerson Beach from the parking lot I found myself in a magical world with visibility of only about 50 yards. When I cleared the dunes and was on the sandy beach I could hear oystercatchers from every direction yet only saw the ones flying directly in front of me. As I turned my head they filled the air. By the sound I could tell there were a lot yet I could not see how many as a huge flock as they passed me for about 5 minutes. The first image will give you an idea how dense the flock was and there had to be thousands yet I could only see a few dozen at a time.

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Morris
Morris you ask for comments and suggestions and I'll take up up on that invitation. These photos have no photographic merit at all. Theres no composition, nothing. I know you could do better. I'd suggest you not post every single photo you take but rather take your time and post your best.

To quote your own words you posted today " It's not working for me as the photo lacks pop".

Morris, less is more and better!
