I'm amazed.......

You are very fortunate to have been born with complete knowledge of digital.

I agree it gets old seeing the same questions, but for someone just stepping out of the darkroom into this new digital age it's all foreign to them. Simply tell them they can do a search and even point them to a few threads. These forums are for learning and sharing information. If you already know it all and don't want to help others, why are you here?
I keep reading posts by 1Ds owners asking about things which are
fairly elementary to most DSLR owners. Such as, why do I get these
black spots (dust), issues to do with CA and other fairly basic
stuff.

Now, I'm not passing judgement, people are free to spend as they
wish. However, it seems strange to me, like buying a Ferrari after
passig your driving test.

I really think we should have an FAQ here, linked to or hosted on
this site, thoughts?

I just read my reply again and it may sound like I'm replying personally to Stuart, I'm not.

I just see this come up a lot here about people asking, what experienced digital users, consider basic questions. So my reply was meant more for everyone that asks that.

I agree with Stuart, I think a FAQ would help the new user learning curve.
