Fuji repair prices - UK vs EU

Fuji Europe charges a flat fee for repair, depending on the type of camera.

Strangely, repairing e.g. an X100 costs 345 EUR but in the UK only 155.00 GBP !

With the current exchange rate 155 pounds correspond to about 180 EUR, almost half of the EU price!

I think the UK prices are actually quite low! So perhaps they will rise soon! So if you are in the UK and need a repair I would suggest to do it soon!

Those prices really are reasonable - including return shipping and a further 12 months warranty on the entire product - would give someone confidence buying second hand.

I wonder what would be considered "beyond economical repair" - if the shutter goes or you get water in the camera and the electronics are fried are you just out of luck?

Anything that will cost Fuji more than 50% of what they charge you.

I think they are very reasonable. In fact in the UK they will also send you packaging material and prepaid postage to send the camera in!

so if you find a broken X100t for a fiver on ebay, you can get it fixed for 155 GBP and enjoy warranty for one year as if it was refurbished (well, maybe sometimes it is)!
