I am a semi-professional. Bought my X100F to have something smaller to my family and everyday needs. I dont use the manual setup possibilities so often, as I bought this camera for totally different things.
But I can tell you, the fixed lens solution makes really perfect match!
I know it is not the cheapest solution for that but it is a perfect point and shoot camera. If I take everything to (red) A, my wife or mother can handle it as well and the camera will NEVER make a fault. Due to its lightweight body (comparing to an FX Dslr), I need only an ultralight tripod to carry with myself and I can keep it in my wife's small bag.
ISO is BETTER (I made a detailed comparison) than my D750 Nikon, focuses unbelievably quickly and makes ****ing horrible edge sharp images ALWAYS.
F/2 could be F/1.2 rather because I am missing some good blur but works really fine. Due to its fixed lens you can improve a lot in "leg-focusing" and you will re-think if you need a zoom lens. I feel sure signs of improving my skills as a family photographer with the fixed lens.
I LOVE that I do not seem like a photographer with it in my hands. People act more naturally.
Build quality is robust and the design is amazing. I have been asked more times if it is a retro, film camera.
Video quality is also very good! Waiting to have more time to try it.
Battery never wants to die, view sensor is working perfectly!
As a Nikon shooter, it is amazing, how Fujifilm solves the quick-reach possibilities of setups in menu.
