I have 3 cameras a D50, D7000 and a D7100..... am I correct that none of these are fully compatible with this lens
AF-P DX NIKKOR
70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED
Thank you
Gene,
Update the
D7100 with the latest
firmware (Feb 2018). Your lens will work fine on that body. If you have the
VR version (like I do), you will
not be able to
switch off the VR. The new firmware
did not provide the
Menu VR Switch like the D500 and D7500 bodies already had (it's in the manual for those bodies).
See Thom Hogan's write up on current AF-P lens / body compatibility.

Note that he indicates the D7100, D7200 are
"mostly compatible" (after Feb 2018 firmware update).
Don't forget to
AF Fine Tune the lens at your most-used FL. A
good copy of this lens, when
properly AF Fine Tuned to the body, is an excellent value. It is sharp at 300m wide open (f6.3). It has fast, smooth, quiet AF. It is a "feather-weight lens.
fwiw... The
FX version would give a
physical VR switch, a metal lens mount, f5.6 at 300mm and a little bit better IQ.
Good luck with you new lens. I hope this helps in some way.
