I want to create a VCD for the photos, which software is best?

I have just tried four Ulead software(pictureshow,Dvd workshop,Dvd movie,Explorer),all only create continued video, but can not create PBC Video CD which let you view the photo one by one using the remote control.

I use Ulead. I set the delay time for each picture to say 2 minutes (high) then it will show that picture for a long time. I then use the forward key on the remote to move onto the next picture.

PlayBack Control, supported by VCD 2.0,tvCD support creating PBC video CD.

With PBC supported player and video CD 2.0 CD,you can get more controling with the CD playing back, such as viewing the photos one by one manually.

As I said before, by putting a long delay in you have an effective work-around.

Is this not sufficient?

I looked into VCDs extensively last year. I wanted to create one of family vacation pictures for each family member there. There simply is a great lack of good software for this. Many programs do some things, apparently nothing does it all. Very annoying. You simply have to choose which features you prefer.

Jonathan...I have tried Ulead products...great...good quality...easy to use

Photojam...can only be used on PC but extrarinary results!!!

I'm now using Photoshow Gold by Photodex...I have been doing slideshows for a wedding photographer who used these slideshows as his "digital proofs". The results comments that we gotten have been great.

I have also used it to do a "digital portfolio" for a job presentation....it not only got the attention of the person hiring me but her boss also!

The program is easy to use ...unlimited photos and shows (up to capacity of CD) ..can also be used with DVD burners (for future)..the support that I've gotten from the folks at Photodex has been exemplary...actually talk to a REAL person on the phone that answers your questions and solves the problems..unheard of in today's business world...check it out at
http://www.photodex.com/news/release-pshow.html

I think you'll be surprised...they have a demo that you can download and use..purchase price is not painful either for all they offer...about $60...If you have any questions email me...Yvonne ([email protected])_

I want to record my photos to a video CD and share them to others because the VCD and DVD player is more popular than PC.

The users should manually control the VCD playing back to view the photos one by one.If there is some special effects and background sounds ,it should looks more greatful.
Hi Jonathan

What are you going to use to view the pics on your disk? If its
just the computer, no problem just copy them to a disk as files in
NERO or WINCD and play them back, one by one, using the full screen
option in Irfanview.

Dear steve6,

I used Pictureshow 2. I set the subfolder menu. I can choose which folder to view. If I press the play button in the index menu, all photos will be shown continuously.

The only problem is that I cannot set to play the background music continusly. It will jump to another music track when there is a change of folder.

Would you know how to solve the problem?

Andy
