Maybe because they're not seen as competition to entry level cameras.

Most likely the sale figures show that most sold mobilephones are in the upper tear as people seem to be inclined to buy the latest greatest.

I would imagine it takes some time to test a phone, so they focus on the ones that are of most interest to people. I am sure an iPhone X review generates more site traffic than some random cheapo phone.

Same reason why DPR stopped reviewing normal p&s cameras 8 years ago. Lack of interest. Plus they now give low end dslrs a much briefer reviews than normal
