Why does my 4k action cam video look super grainy on my PC?

Can you post an example of your footage? if so we may be able to troubleshoot it further for you.

That being said, go try it in full blow daylight and if it's still grainy, you MAY have gotten a bad example of this particular camera. The reviews on Amazon are 82% 5-star reviews. Did you buy it from Amazon? If so may I suggest returning it for a replacement or try a different camera? I am a big fan of the Mijia 4K and use them instead of Gopros.

I doubt that it is really "native 4K", but is instead upsampled from a (much) lower resolution. Most knock-off's claim 4K, but are really 1080P.

Try lower resolution settings and see if your results improve.

Not to rain on your parade,but... you get what you pay for.

There could be any number of causes. The camera may be defective or a really poor product. How do you play the video back? Do you use a USB cable or move the SD into a reader on your PC? Mac? What viewer do you use on your Mac/PC?

If at all possible, a screen grab or download sample on Google Cloud, etc. might help with a diagnosis.

Google for the camera, look for it on YT. There's probably something out there. Maybe that'll help, maybe not. But, honest, you get what you pay for.
