Nice set. Hat's off to you for getting such good results in dim light with wide aperture and slow shutter speeds! Looks like a great camera for "environmental" images. Nice colour too.

Really like your "Sprig" image too!

Scouting possible foreground material for some astrophotography, I was very impressed by the OIS in the 18-55mm lens (handheld, around dusk).

But that bench needs to go.

Recently traded X100F for an X-Pro2. Just received the 7Artisans 25mm f1.8 this weekend. Due to severe freezing rain, couldn't take this combo outside, hens some indoor test shots for close focusing capabilities. Liking this lens a lot so far. All shots were taken from f5.6-f8

Yup, the OIS never ceases to amaze.

One thought on that composition. Actually, I think the bench adds some interest to the shot. Would have been interesting to try moving somewhat to your left to capture more of the church plus isolating the bench from the building. Would have placed the bench firmly in the foreground and rounded out the shot. JMHO.

Don't know about the Pro2 or that lens but that Leica III looks to be near mint.

More images from the shoot in my gallery.

Very friendly guy cycled in from North Capital street area to Potomac near Kennedy Center, talked about staying a couple days. No idea where he might camp. Dog is trained to grab the fish when he cries "Kill!"

Thank you for the suggestion—unfortunately positioning is somewhat limited by a barn wall and a hedge, and I was already in the furthest corner. There's a village photo show coming up, and I'm interested in trying out some astrophotography, so was assessing whether I could do anything with the church in the foreground. One of the benefits of living out in the sticks is that there are completely unlit areas within easy walking distance!

It's certainly worth a try. My only thought on this is that if you're unable to move further back, you might find the church a bit imposing (i.e. large) with respect to the amount of sky/stars that you can show. Would a different location/angle allow you to move further back and still give you the sort of composition you're looking for?

Astrophotography and starscapes are great fun... also one of my interests. Best of luck and we'll look forward to seeing some posts here. If you scan historical threads, you'll find some good advice on settings, etc. for astro work. Also, the site linked below is loaded with great information and tips. This article, for example, is all about Fuji lenses and astrophotography:

You'll find good tips on settings if you search around the forum. Also, there are some real experts with lots of Fuji astro experience who hang around this forum as well.

I've been trying to take some pictures in my neighborhood while on walks with my puppy. The problem is he keeps pulling me around before I can find a composition I like! Still having fun with both the camera and the pup though.

Great selection. The last one really shows how impressive the seafood selection is! X-T1 still rocking...

Hi !

It wasn't any warmer but with the Chaudière river flowing at 380 m³ per second the boys were back at it last Sunday even if the air temperature was at -4° C.

Fantastic colors. Great shots :-)

How often do "Fuji users" say there is something about Fuji color that few, if any, other cams have? Difficult to quantify and some think with a tweak here or there with PS, LR, WB, etc.with a non-Fuji cam one can get that kind of color. As it turns out I own multiple systems and when I know I am going to be shooting an event that has vivid colors, Fuji is the cam of choice.
