Hi ive been interested in purchasing a camera for a very long time.

Im looking for a camera thats very similar to the lx100 which seems perfect for what i need, but I also felt it love with the possibilities of the panasonic in cam post focus stacking. Its an amazing feature for me and since the lx100 does not have a touch screen it doesnt support it.

im looking for a compact camera, not necessarily tiny but i cant really be fussed with the lens changing.

Ive looked at the lx10/15. since ive seen comparisons of the lx100 but the lx10 is even smaller than the lx100, no viewfinder, and the shape itself so im not really sold and just having trouble.

Basically the closest thing to the lx100 WITH the post focus in cam technology.

Any help would be appreciated. My budget would be around 500 to 600euros really.

My choice was the FZ300 and one of the reasons was the Post Focus ability however it is not in camera Stacking as the later models. I find it a very easy though to chose a few frames from the Post Focus shoot in camera then to merge them in post processing. I use Affinity which I also like for HDR Stacking.

The FZ300 is a great all round fixed lens camera with many great features. After some 65 years handling cameras I have to say that it is one of my all time favourites.

Here is a small selection of mine to give you an idea of the camera’s capabilities. The first two were both from Post Focus exposures, the wind was blowing pretty strong for the second one hence the moving grasses, it was more and experiment to get the flower and mountain in focus.

The last one shows the cameras Focussing ability during a shoot in burst mode.

Yeah it should be, but it may never happen or it will be years from now. thats why im asking for a camera thats available now that would satisfy my needs.

btw price of a lx100 is 570 euros

and lx10/15 is actually 520 euros.

would the gx80 be a good contender?
