Hello everybody

part of my job is to take pictures at photography events with at least 500 individual participants

my previuos setup was lightroom for management of pictures on main computer (for retouching and printing) and picasa on the clients where people can look at the pictures

how do you manage this issue? is there any software more user friendly? I'd like to use tablets instead of computers, do you think it is wise?

any suggestions?

EDIT: little addendum, I'd like to implement online selling too, suggestions of some good management?

What is wrong with the system you already have?

Personally I don't think tablets are really suitable for serious editing but you could use Lightroom desktop combined with Lightroom mobile for occasional light editing.

Photo Mechanic is the one you want. Don't bother with anything else for Sports.

Good Luck

Perhaps you missed the OPs follow-up where he said he wanted online selling as well? In that respect, Darkroom Core would be an excellent solution given it has numerous print package options as well as selling options built in-- from self-fulfillment to direct access to 3rd part labs. Not just an image browser but everything about the app is targeted toward this type of event photography.

There's also unlimited options for customizing prints where you can add items like custom logos, event description, graphic design elements etc. etc.

Just my $02.
