Very nice pics, Don!

Nice images!

I'm sure envious of the subject matter that's available down there...we're still digging out from the last snowstorm.

I hate to be pedantic, but they actually bite, not sting :D

But I do agree with you, both hurt! And the thought of having flesh ripped off in small chunks is always worse than a sting, IMHO. It changes my attitude to the insect too - the 'biter' is actively trying to eat you, where as a 'stinger' is only trying to protect itself and can be reasoned with, as it were.

Mighty fine pictures, too, c h u n k

Beautiful photos! May I know what lens has been used for these? Perhaps some very sophisticated equipment and technique? This is my dream!

Would I be on the right track with Sony A6000 and Sony 90mm macro?

Sorry, if it sounds too ignorant.

i use a amscope microscope objective lens. you can make the whole lens set up for $60 from ebay. and a home made sliding platform system.

Don, thanks. It looks like something over my head. For the time being I'll stay with flowers and perhaps butterflies. But first I'll have to get that Sony 90mm macro.
