What ND filter do you recommend for 24-70GM

What’s the best nd filter to be used on the 24-70 gmaster lens?

Most people tend to agree that Breakthrough Photography has the best ND and C.Pol. Filters. However they do not have a variable ND.

What are you shooting? Which time of the day? Usually it makes sense to get several ND filters ND2, ND3, etc. for flexibility.

Thanks for replying - as to Breakthrough Photography I don't think and ND4 is available - they sell an ND3 though

Most would recommend a 3ND + a 6ND. And, if you need it, you can stack them.

Personally, I would go CPL, 3ND + 6ND to have all basis covered.

There is no best in this case.
* What do you want to photograph?
* Do you need a 3 stop, 6 stop, 10 stop or even more stops ND filter?

For my self I use the Lee 100mm and Seven5 Little stopper (6 stops) and the Big stopper (10 stops) Als have a 3 stops voor the 100mm. Never use it.

I got the Gobe variable ND 2-8 and the build quality is excellent but the downside is that the outside filter thread is wider than 82mm which is to stop vignetting from the filter which seems reasonable except for the fact that the lens hood does not fit with it on.

I even went to the expense of getting a a screw on rubber lens hood but this caused vignetting so useless for 24mm field of view
