Anyone ordered D850 from B&H in the last week of February and got it already?

Thanks.

If you are near a local Nikon dealer, try a phone call. We bought my wife’s D850 last week, off-the-shelf, from a local pro-oriented camera store. It was their last one still available, of several that had recently arrived, but they have had D850 cameras in stock before these.

How can this be? Well, this local dealer does not routinely sell new stock on-line, for shipping, and pre-orders require an actual deposit, not just a credit card number. (The deposit is fully refundable.)

I ordered a D850 from B&H on Feb 17th and it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

I saw five D850 cameras on the top shelf of a local camera store today. This is the same place I bought my wife’s D850, last week. More D850 cameras arrived today. Check your local dealers!

I ordered mine 9 days ago from Bhphoto and got it yesterday. They're either getting more in stock with each shipment or less people are buying now.

I think many unfortunately want to avoid local shops due to sales taxes...

An extra $300 in Los Angeles-ya think! :-(

I ordered on Amazon yesterday -- and hours later received confirmation that it will delivered on Wednesday.

I really wanted to give my business to a camera company ... I had placed and order with Roberts in late December - and I made two update inquiries since; one in Feb and early March and they responded to neither. It was time to move on.

I'm afraid that, in this instance, it's not the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. It's the massive retailer who has trillions of customers, and many more orders than anyone else. I'm sure that the threat of potentially loosing Amazon's business gives Nikon an incentive to make sure they are plentifully supplied with product before anyone else.

Cameraegg.org is reporting that Amazon is shipping orders placed on March 20th, Adorama on March 15th and B&H March 12th. My order with B&H was placed before that. Called B&H, but they declined to give any info other than it is backordered.

Anyway can anyone confirm these shipping dates? Thanks.

Best Buy in California has this posted on their site:

Getting more soon. FREE Shipping: Expected to ship by Sun, Apr 15

The spirits are trying to tell you something. But, if you are like me, you will ignore them; and give into your demons. :-x

I chatted with B&H today and they wouldn't give me a date. Asked how long it is usually taking and they said, 1-2 months
If cameraegg dates are correct, then Amazon is only about a week, and Adorama and B&h are only a couple of weeks behind. People who ordered from B&H in late February, early March got their cameras in a few days.

I'm curious how often Nikon ships to these big retailers.

I got mine in October from a small dealer in VT, even though I live many states away. If you don't have camera stores in your area, go online and find some in smaller cities, then call to see if they have it stock. B&H is an excellent store, but they can't keep up with demand on the D850 while some smaller stores have them on their shelves.

It's the American way! Believe me, if you lived in California & saw what they are wasting taxes on, you'd have no remorse.
