It's a great lens. I use it with a Nikon D810 and have found it to be a really useful lens for everyday shoots. As with all zoom lenses, you cannot expect the image quality to match that of prime lenses but, nevertheless, the results are more than good enough for my exhibition prints. Construction and build quality are very good indeed and, if you stop down enough (I recommend f.8 and above, but no more than f.16, at 300mm) image resolution and sharpness are excellent. The only drawback with this lens is the distortion which is not worthy of a lens for FX format. However, if you have Lightroom or Photoshop, this can be corrected. Do consider it.
