*Please reply to the original post but change the title to reflect the subject of your image(s) so that your post starts a new section.

*If you can provide details on the subject, camera, settings and processing, that would be great for people reviewing the images. *If you have more than 10 images to share, please break them up into more than 1 posting.

Thanks for all participation whether seasoned pro or beginner or any place in between.

Keep posting your images.

Hello Everyone,

Based upon my needs this coming week and a thread by Shockwave I invested a relatively small amount of $$$ into a Godox off-cam flash. The newer model trigger was either faulty or my brain was faulty so I chose to buy the older trigger which is perfectly fine. Works almost better than my Pocketwizards.

So below is the purchase, f/8, horrible :-D 16-55/2.8 lens, tripod, long exposure relatively close up at 55mm not getting enough DOF for the instruction manual but who cares. They work wonderfully and that’s what counts…..and, besides, they are not very costly. I do not work for the company and I’m sure other brands work just as well. BTW the focus point was on the X1 logo. Both images were converted to DNG, the Fuji by X-Transformer, the Sony by Libraw's conversion program and processed in Capture One Pro.

Oh, and just for kicks, since there was also a thread about the 16-55 and whether it was sharp enough I took a photo at a little higher f-stop w/A7riii w/Pixel Shift and the 24-70/2.8 G Master lens for the sake of a non-scientific comparison. It gave a warmer image and I down sampled to a similar size and here is the result. Be sure to click on original for an enlargement. I think Fuji is doing just fine. BTW I also took 2 photos at f/2.8 but the instruction brochure looked so terrible I didn't use them.

Have a good week,

Hey, nice comparison, Bob, but for heavens sake, please try to use a decent quality lens next time, OK? Jeez. You'd think you moderator types would know better.

unfortunately in Recife (Brazil) we could not see the eclipse. The first photo was three days before the full moon. the second was on the full moon. I used a 300mm samyang mirror lens, and a heavy crop.

A friend and I visited the new Toronto subway stations, which opened in December. Highly recommended as a photo outing.

Beautiful set. The first shot is my favorite.

Strong set, wonderful color. The composition in that first shot is outstanding!

I took this late last night and while I shared it in last weeks thread, I am reposting because that thread is mostly inactive now and I am very happy with it.
