XE3 flickering screen

Thanks for the replies. You don’t have the same issue? There is no difference whether it is standard or high performance and under all light conditions.

I haven't seen any flickering using face detection with my X-E3.
The issue I recall hearing about was in conjunction with DR400 being set on camera – do you have DR on that setting?

Same issue regardless of DR setting. All 4 options of face detection / eye focus will cause the screen to flicker. Sounds like I may have a lemon then....
Just noticed my new X-E3 flickering today. Bought yesterday and didn't notice anything wrong because I didn't have face detect on. It also flickers sometimes when using A setting on shutter speed dial even with face detect off. As soon as I turn it off A setting, it stops. Called FUJI and they were not aware of it but customer service rep looked up the issue and saw a number of posts, so they are now aware. Hopefully I'll get a good one tomorrow when I return camera.

Just noticed this on my new X-E3 as well. Anyone have any additional info on it?
Suggest u check both still and movie mode. My first set has flickering issue in still mode when auto focus/eye priority is on. Changed a new set with no issue in still mode but just realised the screen starts to flicker in movie mode! Feeling let down with the QC of Fujifilm. Never had any issue with other cameras

This is my first Fuji. Can't say that im 100% satisfied with the build or the software but I love the jpegs. Im hoping this can be something that can be fixed in an update. I noticed that it flickers much less when it's not hunting for a face. That is when there is a face actually in the shot. It appears to me that it's making adjustments attempting to locate the face. If you turnnon the histogram it jumps in time with the screen flicker. Also when I switch to manual focus and back it stops.Suggest u check both still and movie mode. Ok movie mode flickering issue resolved. Need to adjust shutter speed due to different lighting situation. Tested other bodies at the shop and all the same. AD also confirmed the flickering screen in still mode when auto focus/eye priority is on is a defect. Suggest you get your set change.

Thanks. Just processed the exchange with Amazon. Hope the new one doesn't have any issues when it arrives.
Took my camera back and new one is perfect. My original one was from one of the first production runs and second one is a later run. No problems at all. Love the camera and size. Wish Fujifilm would come out with a small (pancake) zoom lens in the 24-70 range.

Replacement camera arrived today and all is well. No flicker!
Great! U tried taking video? Does the screen flicker?

Nope nothing in video either. Really I would have never noticed it in video. Just tried it now to check and that's probably the last time the camera will be in video mode.

I just received my XE3 today and found that I had the flickering problem, too. However, I did a full reset of my camera and the problem seems to have been fixed. I hope it's a permanently fix of the problem and will keep you up guys up to date if anything changes.
Interestingly, I also had a problem whereby I couldn't turn off the picture preview after taking a picture. Apparently, it was acting as if no SD card was inside the camera even though there was one--I guess pictures are previewed no matter what the setting of the camera is on if no SD card is in the slot. This problem was also fixed with the camera being reset. FYI.
