I am currently running two YONGNUO YN600EX-RT II 's and land up using them both at the same time at times to backlight or fill in as required depending on the situation. I have been using eneloops and other rechargeable batteries but it doesn't really hold charge during a long shoot and i keep having to swap them out. Given my rechargeables are pretty old now [2-3 years] and have done their time to serve my speedlites. I am planning to swap them out with a a Godox Power pack. Will keep the speedlites, since they work great, however I would need some serious thought to power them up. I shoot with speedlites quiet a lot and it makes sense getting them. However I am not sure if the Godox cable would work with a Yonguo YN 600. The website shows compatibility with Canon, Nikon, Sony and Metz.

Any insight or recommendation would be very helpful :)

Thanks in advance.

Flash Havoc's initial review of the BP960, used Yongnuo flashes, so I'd guess they'd be compatible.

However.

Yongnuo has also announced the YN-686EX-RT. Which is, essentially, a YN-600EX-RT that runs off a li-ion battery pack. The capacity of the pack is speced at 600+ full power bursts. 4xAA battery flashes tend to give about 200-250 full power bursts. So, one pack is similar to almost three sets of 4xAA.

Li-ion flashes, however, are new to Yongnuo's lineup, so there may be battery issues this early in the release cycle. Godox had teething issues with their Li-ion battery packs early on. But that was on the first release of their V850 and V860; now their V850II and V860II have been out long enough not to have issues.

If it's just capacity you want the pack for, then any of these Li-ion speedlights might work a bit better for you, since they eliminate having to cable the external pack to the speedlights.
