I am planning to use the 35/2 more often

Great shots. I love the 23/35/50 F2 trio. I am using the 35 more and more. 50 equivalent was dead for me for many years, but now I'm back to using the nifty 50.....

I just used the 35 F2 a lot in this Utah shoot on hikes. Don't need the 1.4 on landscapes or hiking shots. The F2 trio ... so small, light and tough with WR and great IQ....

Well there were loads of complaints about softness at close distance...
It might have that - I thin I recall a few comments like that. But it's a minor thing in the grand scheme. The distortion and CA on the 35 f/2 is the main issue. I have 35 f/2 and 23 f/1.4. If I had it to do over again, I'd go 32 1.8 Touit and 23 f/2 Fuji.
Could you post some images showing the CA of the 35/2?

As you might know Capture One allows to process a RAW file with - or without - lens correction. C1 also allows to crop the image outside the actual image area:

You were not talking about architecture only, right??

Lightroom can do correction as well, but the built in Fuji corrections both in the jpegs and Raw corrections in Lightroom are not corrected properly. I'm a bit surprised - they could fix this in the firmware.

As for CA of the 35, I've literally not taken any photos with it in about 6 months, so not sure if I have many. But I've got it on the body now and will shoot with it this week.

If you want to see it now, I'd suggest Lenstip - they found a good bit of LoCA as well as the rest - values were kind of high.
Really?? Lightroom can switch off lens correction?? Since when??
Sorry, I didn't say you could turn it off, but I see why you thought that. I just meant that you can do correction as in add to or subtract from what's already there and sort of make up for the problem with the 35 f/2. It's less than ideal.
Out of curiosity what does the image without lens correction look like in LR?? You have now see the Capture One 10 right?? Sine I have been an LR user from way back I am actually really interested in the way they do this.
Don't have a current X-T20 LR version anymore sorry otherwise I would have done this myself.

You've got me wondering if it's time to try Capture One again. I never liked the interface and when I have used it, it didn't give me anything at the time that seemed better than what I was using.

I like those pics.

I am also planning to use mine more now on my new X-E3 along with the 23/2 and the 18-55 kit lens. It is my least used lens but that doesn't bother or surprise me. There are times when I go out with two bodies one with the 23 and the other with the 35. Makes a very nice walk-about kit.

And it costs an arm and a leg! That being said, their latest iteration performs much better than previous versions. However they still haven't eradicated the problem of magenta tint in shadows. Lack of Film Simulations is another drawback. They have also improved WB Skin Tone colour picker though not to the accuracy of Silkypix DPD 8.

I kind of like the film simulations. I'll bet you can use Huelight profiles though - those are pretty good.

Huelight profiles? Never heard of those...I use free available Scott Wang profile and they are excellent

Where did you get those?

Huelight are $15 and are camera specific. Easy to look up.

Just search for Scott Wang ICC Capture One Pro Profiles on Fujifilm Dpreview forum.

Looks like they're no longer out there. Either that or I'm missing it somehow. The links I found are dead.
